In a private lesson we develop a personal yoga practice plan from questionnaires about your symptoms, constitution, physical and mental health and goals.
Your plan can involve postures, breathing, relaxation, concentration, meditation, study, positive actions and goals for contributing. Back care, stress, management, breathing practices, weight management, pregnancy and post natal yoga are my specialities, but clients have also found private lessons helpful for many other issues. Several sessions (ideally weekly or more with a teacher plus home practice) are recommended to establish a regular yoga home practice. Relaxation at home can be helped with CDs such as the Relax with Anna Semlyen CD
My Workplace Yoga Clients
As well as individuals, schools and companies have booked me on site. Clients have included York Steiner School, All Saints School, Age UK, The University of York, York St John, Corus Rail, CPP, DEFRA, The English Language Centre and the Environment Agency. Private Yoga Rates
Private one to one lessons and yoga plans are £45 per hour at 24 Grange St, off Fulford Road or £50 per hour within York’s ring road if I travel to you. A block of 5 classes is £200 (£40 per hr) or £450 for 12 Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs classes.
For couples or small groups (up to 4 people): £60 per hour. A block booking of 5 classes is £275 (£55 per hr).
To book a group yoga class at your own venue it is £80 per hr for up to 15 people . A Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs class is 75 mins for £100 (+ room hire).
Preparing for Private Yoga Tuition
Clothing must not restrict movement. Do not eat for 1.5 hours before a session.
