All Welcome Yoga


Effective Yoga uses proven exercises in an intelligent sequence. It's evidence-based yoga that works to increase the health of body, mind and emotions- without undue strain. My research experience leads me to plan lessons designed to achieve a purpose - (eg back care healing, strength, lift, release, weight loss, shoulder loosening, stress relief, joint care etc). When asked what type of yoga I teach, I say its varied and effective. It's neither hard nor too easy. I pick warm ups and develop safe practices to achieve the desired outcome.

A balanced set of hatha yoga postures and practices are presented with modifications. There is a mix of stretching, breathing, relaxing and sitting. The pacing includes rests and time to reflect on the effects. Those with more experience are encouraged to work for longer in postures.

I write lesson plan handouts and copy them to make it easier to remember for home practice.
